Exploring the World of Fruits: A Field Trip to a Fruit Mart

The Pre Primary students of Embassy Academy, one of the Top School near Yelahanka embarked on an educational field trip to V K Fruit Mart in Yelahanka. This hands-on experience provided a delightful opportunity for our young learners to explore the vibrant world of fruits.
The exhibition of over 50 kinds of fruits captivated students as they identified the different varieties of fruits .They were also introduced to exotic fruit delights such as rambutan, cherries, blueberries, grapefruits, avocados, strawberries, mangosteen to name a few. Each fruit not only sparked conversations and questions but also furthered their understanding about nutrition and diversity in nature.
Another enjoyable aspect of the trip was the Hands-on experience of weighing fruits and buying them as a customer would do in real life. Though it appears to be a simple activity, it allowed students to apply their observational skills and math skills with a new twist. More importantly, it provided students with a sense of confidence and independence for tasks they should routinely accomplish in everyday life.
