A Tribute in Costume: Fancy Dress Competition on Freedom Fighters at EA

On the 14th of August, Embassy Academy, the best CBSE School, hosted a vibrant Fancy Dress Competition on the theme Freedom Fighters. The event was designed to instill a spirit of patriotism and gratitude in our young learners while paying tribute to the great leaders who sacrificed their lives for India’s independence.
Students from Grades I to VIII came dressed as iconic leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Subhas Chandra Bose, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Bhagat Singh, and Jawaharlal Nehru. With enthusiasm and confidence, the children enacted their chosen roles and delivered the timeless slogans that continue to inspire generations, including “Inquilab Zindabad” and “Give me blood, and I shall give you freedom.”
The performances reflected not only creativity in costumes but also the courage and conviction of the freedom fighters. Through this engaging platform, students gained deeper insights into the determination, ideals, and sacrifices of these remarkable leaders. At the same time, the event helped nurture essential skills such as stage confidence, expression, and public speaking.
The competition proved to be both educational and entertaining, leaving behind the powerful reminder that the freedom we cherish today is the legacy of countless brave hearts. The program concluded with the thought that it is now our duty to carry forward their legacy by being responsible and proud citizens of our nation.
